Record-Breaking Rainfall Hits Central Europe, Myanmar Seeks Foreign ‌Aid Amid Typhoon Yagi

As low-pressure storm ‘Boris’ hits central Europe, Romania is experiencing record-breaking rainfall, including the ‌heaviest in 100⁤ years.

Following Vietnam, Myanmar was hit by super typhoon ‘Yagi’, resulting in a significant increase ⁣in damage and casualties.

Romania’s Record-Breaking Rainfall

The whole village was submerged in water, and the roads turned into rivers.

The ⁤livestock they raised have died, and seeing houses covered ‌in ‌mud⁣ and water is pathetic.

People⁤ who were unable to move through⁤ the ‍night as the water ⁣rose and trapped⁤ in their houses in fear.

Boats and helicopters were sent to evacuate⁤ residents, ⁢and rescue workers escaped carrying the elderly.

Four people died and‌ hundreds were stranded in Romania, where the worst rain in 100 years fell due to the ⁢effects of Cyclone⁢ Boris.

Czech Republic and Austria on High Alert

In the‍ Czech Republic, residents ‌were evacuated as riverbanks burst due to ⁢record-breaking rain,⁢ and people went missing after being swept away by swollen rivers.

In addition,⁢ the highest‍ flood warning has been‍ issued in ⁢over 70 ‌regions ⁢across the country.

In Austria, where the water level of the Danube River is rising rapidly, ⁤a disaster area has been declared and residents evacuated.

Myanmar Seeks ‍Foreign Aid Amid Typhoon Yagi

Following Vietnam, ⁤Myanmar was hit by⁢ super typhoon ‘Yagi’, resulting ⁢in a significant increase ‍in damage and casualties.

The death toll, reported at 33 on the 13th local time, rose ⁣to 74 in one day.

Although 89 people were ‍counted as missing, local media also⁢ reported that more than‍ 100 people ⁤were missing.

It is difficult ⁣to calculate damage due to ‍a long civil war and ⁣communication disruption caused by a typhoon.

Amid concerns that the ‍actual extent of the ⁢damage will be far greater, Myanmar’s military regime has made an unusual‌ request for support from foreign countries.
