Liverpool is financially sound heading into the summer transfer window, but the club spends only when the right players are available. Despite winning the league, Arne Slot’s side could benefit from additions, especially with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s expected departure.
Liverpool needs reinforcements at right back, left back, and center back. Uncertainty surrounds Darwin Núñez’s future, potentially pushing Liverpool into the market for a No. 9 and a creative midfielder to fill Alexander-Arnold’s role.

The Netherlands international is expected to compete with Conor Bradley at right back after Liverpool triggered his £30 million release clause. Alexander-Arnold is expected to join Real Madrid. Núñez has reportedly drawn interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, while Barcelona is interested in winger Luis Díaz. Harvey Elliott and Caoimhín Kelleher may also seek more playing time elsewhere.
Liverpool has extended contracts with Mohamed Salah and virgil van Dijk and is reportedly keen on extending Ibrahima konaté’s (expires 2026) and Diaz’s (expires 2027) contracts.
