Dutch Rider ⁤Puck bentveld Wins European Cyclocross Title

puck Bentveld (Netherlands) dominated ​the European Cyclocross Championships in‌ Middelkerke, ‌winning ⁢by over a minute. She was a strong favorite alongside reigning champion Célia Gery (France), but showcased ⁣superior form and skill,⁢ notably in the sand.

Gery, who recently won the women’s under-23⁣ road world title​ in ‍Kigali, finished second, 1:13 behind Bentveld. Her French‌ teammate, Amandine Muller, ⁢completed the podium in third‍ place.

Bentveld established a notable ⁣lead early in the race, ‍quickly ‍distancing‍ herself from Gery.She maintained a‌ relentless pace, consistently completing laps under nine minutes, and ultimately won as a runaway leader. Belgian Shanyl De Schoesitter briefly joined Gery in ‍a chase group, but⁣ Bentveld’s lead continued to grow throughout the race.
