On October 30, 2025, Eva Air announced notable upgrades to ⁢its⁣ passenger experience with teh introduction of a new⁢ premium economy cabin on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner⁤ fleet. These enhancements, focused on maximizing space​ and comfort, aim to redefine travel‍ for passengers seeking⁣ a step‌ up from economy without the ⁢cost of ⁤business class.

Eva Air currently operates Boeing 787-9 and 787-10 Dreamliners on routes across Asia,North ‌America,and Europe. The rollout ⁢of the new premium economy seats will begin ‍in early 2025, initially on select routes.

Spacious Seating and Enhanced Features

The centerpiece of the upgrade is a redesigned premium economy seat boasting a generous 40 inches of pitch – the distance between a point on‍ one seat and the same point⁢ on the ‌seat in front of it – and a width of‍ 19.7 ⁣inches. This represents a considerable increase in personal space compared to standard economy seating. Each seat also features a five-inch recline and an adjustable headrest‍ for personalized comfort.

Beyond the physical dimensions, Eva Air is incorporating several⁢ features designed to enhance the overall travel ​experience. Each seat will also be ‌equipped with individual reading lights and a personal storage‍ compartment.

Cabin Configuration and Route Availability

The ⁤new premium economy cabin will be located at the front of the 787’s main deck, offering a quieter and more exclusive surroundings. The cabin will consist of 24 seats arranged in a 2-3-2 configuration. This layout provides both window and aisle access for most passengers. ⁢

Eva Air has not yet announced⁢ a complete list of routes that will feature the upgraded cabin, but initial deployments are expected on key routes connecting‍ Taipei to major⁣ cities in North America and Australia.
