Initial Symptoms adn Diagnosis
In late 2021, Evelina, then 26, experienced debilitating nausea, vomiting, and severe dizziness, describing the sensation as being “like being stuck in a merry-go-round.” Initially dismissed as food poisoning, further investigation revealed a different cause. A contrast X-ray identified a lesion near the cerebellum, leading to a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic neurological disease affecting the central nervous system.

As of November 2025, four years after her diagnosis, Evelina and her partner, Jonas, are navigating parenthood with their four-month-old son, Otto. Evelina is committed to demonstrating that a fulfilling life is possible even with a chronic illness like MS. Her story aims to inspire others facing similar challenges and to promote a positive outlook despite ongoing health concerns.
