After two decades of reporting on the rapidly evolving tech landscape, The Next Web (TNW) has announced its closure. The publication,⁤ known for its ‍coverage of startups, innovation, and the digital world, cited a shift in its role ⁤as the‍ reason for winding down operations. The announcement was made on⁤ September⁢ 13, 2023, marking ‍the end of an era for a prominent voice in tech journalism.

TNW’s journey began at a pivotal moment, coinciding with the widespread adoption of the internet and the ⁢rise of digital technologies. The publication played a significant role in ⁤covering and ‍accelerating this transformation. However, as ⁣digital technologies became ubiquitous, the founders felt ⁤their mission shifted from pioneering change to documenting existing trends.

⁤ It’s important to note that TNW also operates a coworking space, TNW City, which remains operational⁣ and is separate from the news publication’s closure.
