Everton Women Set to Make Historic Move to Goodison Park

The Toffees have been in the process of converting the historic stadium for women’s Super League football, with preparations underway to ensure the ground meets the requirements for the new season, which kicks off with a Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Anfield on September 7.

While Chelsea Women recently sold 8% of their women’s team to Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian in a deal valuing the club at £240m, Everton women’s market value, even with the inclusion of Goodison Park, does not approach that figure. The stadium, situated in a conservation area, has secured pre-planning approval for a redevelopment project that includes affordable housing, a sports centre, and community buildings.
