Goodison Roars Again: Everton ‍Women Aim to Recreate Iconic Atmosphere ⁢for Historic season

Everton Women are set⁣ to embark on a new ⁤era at the⁣ hallowed turf of Goodison Park next season, and the club’s passionate fanbase‍ is pulling out ‍all the stops to ensure the iconic atmosphere synonymous with the Grand Old Lady is replicated for every women’s Super League ⁤(WSL) fixture.

The Everton Women Official⁣ Supporters’ Club and the influential 1878s Fan Group are working hand-in-hand⁢ with the⁤ club to guarantee that the colour, noise, and⁤ unwavering support Evertonians are⁤ renowned for ‍will be ⁤a vibrant presence at Goodison ⁤throughout the upcoming ⁢campaign.

Peter McFarlane, secretary of the Everton Women Official Supporters’ Club and a key figure within the 1878s, expressed the ‍collective ambition: “We had a dedicated section at⁣ Walton Hall Park, with songs for ‍every player. And we want to recreate that at Goodison park so we can all be together and hopefully help give the players as much of a boost as possible. Goodison is renowned for its incredible atmosphere. We want to try to‍ replicate that, as well as putting our own stamp on it.”

To facilitate this,⁤ a dedicated atmosphere-generating section will be established in the Howard Kendall Gwladys ‍street ⁣End, specifically in block GT3.⁤ Fans eager to contribute to the noise and⁤ visual spectacle on matchdays are encouraged⁤ to ⁤gather in this area, located “just to‍ the right of the goal where the letter ‘E’⁤ is,” as described by mcfarlane.

The 1878s ‍are also⁤ gearing up to produce⁢ an even greater array of their popular flags⁤ and⁢ banners, this time with a singular focus on celebrating Everton Women. “If you look at some‍ of the photos from last season, we’ve been working our way⁣ through all of the players and all of the different nations,” McFarlane added. “We ⁢have players coming‍ in from all over⁢ the world and ⁢we want to make them feel at home. We’ve now got four Japanese players, for example, and one of the things that was mentioned in one of the player interviews was that the flags make⁢ them feel at home.”

Beyond ⁢welcoming international talent, the supporters’ groups also plan to⁢ weave historical ⁣threads into the matchday experience.‍ “We also plan⁣ to have⁣ a few nods towards history, highlighting the critically important players from⁢ our history, whether that be famous players or giants of the women’s game,” McFarlane explained. “We see it as our job to make ⁢those players feel at home. We are familiar with Goodison Park ‍- we all love Goodison, it’s in ⁤our blood, ‍it’s part of our life, but it’s ⁢so important that the players feel that as well. Hopefully we can help with that.”

While the men’s team’s ⁣move to a ⁣new stadium is well-documented, the Women’s Supporters’ Club sees the Goodison Park move as a golden opportunity ‍to introduce thousands of new fans to the club and its historic home. ⁢”Up until two weeks before the end of last season, we all expected Goodison to end⁣ up being a pile of rubble. We thought she was gone,”⁢ mcfarlane reflected. “There were a lot of ⁣Evertonians who might not have been able to get to Goodison before the ⁣end of last season, so I think this just gives ⁢everyone a second chance to go and experience Goodison Park.”

he ⁢continued, ⁤highlighting the growing appeal of ⁢the women’s‍ game: ⁢”The women’s game is growing exponentially, and what better way to introduce your kids or introduce your family to Everton Football Club than to get⁤ them down to Goodison Park and support the Women’s team? ⁤There’s a waiting list for Hill Dickinson so the hunger is there to go to watch⁤ everton play. This is an opportunity for⁣ people to⁤ introduce the kids to Everton Football Club, show them around Goodison ⁢Park and ⁢learn⁣ about the history of the club, whilst watching a⁤ team who are‍ going ⁢to give everything to fight‍ for our badge.”

Season Tickets for Everton Women at Goodison Park offer exceptional value, with adult tickets ⁣priced at just £100 and under-18s⁢ able to secure their seats for £50, equating ⁣to approximately £4 per match.

Supporters who purchase their Season Tickets before Monday, July 28, 2025, will ⁢also be treated to⁤ an exclusive welcome gift, an invitation to a special open training session‍ during the season, and automatic entry into a prize draw‍ for a‍ behind-the-scenes tour of Everton’s Finch Farm training ground.

The stage is set ‍for an unforgettable season as Everton Women prepare to⁢ make Goodison Park their own, backed by a fanbase persistent to ignite the stadium ⁣with the passion and pride that defines Everton.
