Introducing the Featherweight Electric Vehicle (FEV) Category
Longbow is introducing the world to the newly-created featherweight Electric Vehicle (FEV) category with their speedster and Roadster models.Thes electric vehicles embody a sporty and dynamic driving experiance.
The Longbow Roadster emerges as a direct challenger to the perpetually delayed Tesla Roadster. The prototype for the Tesla Roadster was showcased in 2017, with an initial debut planned for 2020. However, production of the second-generation Tesla Roadster continues to face delays.
A Deliberate ‘Prick’ at Tesla
Daniel Davy has stated that Longbow’s emergence is a deliberate “prick” aimed at the continuously delayed Tesla Roadster.
“Many consumers have put down deposits for roadsters that they can’t get,”
Daniel Davy, TopGear, March 13, 2025
Davy further elaborated on Longbow’s intentions:
“So we thought we would be the first electric Roadster to actually follow the Tesla Roadster. If people want to get their $250,000 deposits back for a 2020 car and put it into something better, they’ll get it sooner with us. They are welcome to do so. Our Roadster will be on the ground first.”
