Carlos Strandberg’s Agent Reveals Truth About Al-Ahli Club Talks

Serhat Altinis, the agent of Turkish Hatayspor striker Carlos Strandberg, has shed light on the discussions between Al-Ahli club and the player regarding a potential contract during the current summer transfer window.

In a televised statement with journalist Medhat Shalaby on the “Ya Masa Al Anwar” program broadcast on MBC Egypt, Altinis explained that Strandberg has signed a four-year contract with Hatayspor. He also mentioned receiving numerous calls from agents, indicating Egyptian interest in various players.

Altinis clarified that Al-Ahli’s talks with Strandberg were the first he had heard of through rumors, emphasizing that the club had not made any official contact. He also revealed receiving unofficial offers from Emirati and Saudi clubs.

Al-Ahli Prepares for African Champions League Match Against Gormahia

The Al-Ahli Club football team, led by Swiss coach Marcel Koehler, is gearing up for its African Champions League match against the Kenyan team Gormahia.

Marcel Koehler’s team is set to begin its new season by participating in the African Champions League competition. The Red Giants had a successful previous season, winning four championships, including the Egyptian League Championship, the Egypt Cup, and the local Super Cup, as well as securing a bronze medal at the Club World Cup.

Gormahia has secured a spot in the second preliminary round of the African Champions League, where they will face Al-Ahli Club in the round of 32.

Al-Ahli Wins General League Title

Al-Ahli Club has been crowned the champion of the General League for the 2023-2024 season, finishing with 85 points and ranking first in the competition table. This marks the Red Giants’ 44th General League title in their history.

During the season, Al-Ahli won 32 matches, drew 4, and lost 3, with their players scoring 75 goals and conceding 28.
