Pyramids Goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami Speaks Out Against Al-Ahly’s Deal with Emam Ashour

Published: Monday, September 16, 2024 ⁣- 10:38 ⁤AM | Last‌ Updated: Monday,⁤ September 16, 2024 – 10:38‌ AM

Pyramids goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami⁤ has expressed his concerns⁣ over Al-Ahly’s recent ⁣deal with⁤ Red Team midfielder Emam‌ Ashour, stating that the move goes against the club’s constitution.

In a statement to MBC Egypt, Ekrami shared his thoughts‍ on the matter, saying, “I previously spoke out when Imam Ashour was contracted, and I defended Ramadan Sowi. It’s clear that Al-Ahly’s door ⁤is open to those who weren’t raised in the club’s principles, ‍but⁤ closed to those who were raised on⁢ them.”

Ekrami further explained that‍ the inclusion of Emam Ashour doesn’t align with Al-Ahly’s constitution, citing his own‌ experience as an example. ”I was⁢ punished by Pyramids for congratulating Al-Ahly on their consecutive African Champions League ‌wins,” he said.

Ekrami’s comments ⁤have sparked a heated debate among football fans, with many taking to social media to share their thoughts on the matter. As the situation continues to⁢ unfold, one thing is clear: the move has raised important questions about the values and principles that guide Al-Ahly’s decision-making process.
