Exclusive First Look: Mazda UK Unveils Stunning Beige CX-60 in Zircon Sand Metallic – Is This the Perfect Hue for You
Mazda CX-60: A New Body Color in the Works?
It’s been almost two years since the CX-60 went on sale, but we’ve found something about it that might be quite interesting.
It has been almost two years since the CX-60 went on sale in Japan and Europe in September 2022. Recently, Executive Officer and CFO Jeffrey H. Guyton of Toyota commented that as part of a strategy to regain momentum in the domestic market from the second quarter onwards, “the quality improvements and updates implemented in the CX-80 will also be reflected in the CX-60.”
Following the software updates and provision of fixes that have been implemented so far, there is a high possibility that official product improvements will also be implemented. I have come across some information that may be related to this, so I would like to introduce it to you.
A New Body Color in the Works?
This time we’re looking at the UK Mazda A web catalogue published on the official website.

This is the CX-60 fleet sales web catalog (September 2024 edition), but the body color of the CX-60 listed on the feature introduction page is beige (brown?).
When it comes to beige/brown body colors, “Zircon Sand Metallic” and “Melting Copper Metallic” come to mind, but neither of these are available for the CX-60.
This is an interesting image as the color and intensity appears to be different from the “Platinum Quartz Metallic,” which is the body color available for the CX-60 that is closest to beige/brown.
Comparison with European Mazda
For reference, in Europe Mazda, compare the images of the above three colors using the official configurator…

This is just a quick comparison, but the color tone and intensity is different from the ”Platinum Quartz Metallic,” which is the closest to beige/brown among the body colors available for the CX-60, and comparing the images on the official configurator, it seems that Zircon Sand Metallic is the closest…
Future Possibilities
UK for now Mazda, no improvements or body color changes have been announced for the CX-60 since then, so the truth behind the image remains a mystery, but considering how to differentiate it from the CX-80, which will soon go on sale, we can’t help but hope that new body colors will be added…
There seems to be a good chance that product improvements will be made within this fiscal year, so it will be interesting to see if there will be changes not only to the driving experience but also to the color (including the interior).
