Nominations have been closed for the post of Al-Ahly Club vice-president, which comes in the framework of new elections to finish the remaining term of the current board of directors for the 2021-2025 session.
Former Al-Ahli legal adviser Mahmoud Fahmy submitted his nomination papers for the position of Red Giants vice president on Saturday morning, replacing the late Amri Farooq.
Dr. Ahmed Abu Al-Nasr submitted the papers to run for the position two days ago, as the election is on the agenda of Al-Ahli Club’s General Assembly on November 28 and 29.
Mahmoud Fahmy is considered the most prominent candidate, as he previously served as a member of the board of directors and as the club’s legal advisor, which prompted the Red Club to award him the Golden Necklace, the highest level of honor at Al-Ahly. .
It is worth noting that Al-Ahli Club’s former vice-president, Al-Amri Farooq, died on January 26, 2024.
