Al-Ahly Revives Talks with Youssef Salik Amid Transfer Speculation
Journalist Muhammad Al-Laithi has confirmed that Egyptian giants Al-Ahly are back in talks with Palestinian striker Youssef Salik, a player from Swedish club Sirius.
Muhammad Al-Laithi revealed that Al-Ahly are in serious and formal talks with Youssef Salik, and are also negotiating with the Swedish club to finalize the deal this summer.
Behind the Scenes of Al-Ahly’s Pursuit of Salik
During his statement on the “On Time Sports” channel, Al-Laithi shed light on the scenes behind Al-Ahly’s recent move to finalize the deal with Salik.
Initially, Swedish club Sirius rejected the departure of Youssef Salik, but is now open to selling the player during the summer transfer window, albeit for a higher financial return.
According to Al-Laithi, the Swedish club has set a price of 2 million euros to approve the transfer of the Palestinian striker to Al-Ahly.
Al-Ahly’s planning committee believes that the deal with Salik has several advantages, including the fact that the player will be registered on the team’s roster as an Egyptian player.
Al-Ahly officials are working to convince Marcel Kohler-Kahn to sign a contract with Youssef Salik, and the player could be signed in the next few hours before African registration closes on Thursday evening.
