Exile Brewing Company, based in Iowa, secured a gold medal at the world Beer Cup for its G.G., a Munich-style dunkel beer. The award-winning brew triumphed over 8,375 entries from 1,761 breweries spanning 49 countries.
The munich-style dunkel has now garnered more than five awards at national beer competitions. last year, G.G. earned a silver medal at the same world Beer Cup event.
The awards ceremony took place May 1 at the Indiana Convention Center.
