Exosens Negotiates to Acquire Noxant, Leading in Cooled Infrared Cameras

Mérignac – Palaiseau, France – November 18, 2024

Exosens announces exclusive negotiations to acquire Noxant, a company specializing in high-performance cooled infrared cameras. This acquisition will enhance Exosens’ technology by adding advanced cooled infrared camera cores, particularly in the Midwave Infrared (MWIR) range.

The acquisition is a strategic move for Exosens, creating significant synergies with its imaging business, including Telops, which it acquired in 2023. Exosens, devoted to imaging solutions for integrators, aims to expand its product offerings and strengthen its market position.

Noxant’s cooled camera cores serve various applications, including surveillance, scientific research, industrial testing, and gas detection. This addition will provide Exosens with complementary technologies, meeting the increasing demand for advanced infrared solutions, especially in drone and industrial control markets.

Jérôme Cerisier, CEO of Exosens, emphasized the benefits of this acquisition. He stated, “We will broaden Exosens’ technological spectrum by offering cutting-edge cooled infrared solutions to meet growing demands. The synergies between Noxant and Telops will enhance our R&D and accelerate innovation.”

Laurent Dague, Chairman of Noxant, noted the advantages of joining Exosens. He stated, “This partnership will allow us to continue providing advanced cooled infrared technology while leveraging Exosens’ resources and expertise.”

Noxant recorded approximately EUR 12 million in revenue for the year ending June 30, 2024, and employs 22 people. Finalizing the transaction is subject to employee consultations and required approvals.

This acquisition supports Exosens’ growth strategy, following its past acquisitions of Centronic (UK), LR Tech (Canada), and NVLS (Spain), which together reported €38 million in revenue in their last fiscal year.
