This approach results in complex engagements where attack salvos and countermeasures are crucial, and victory hinges on exploiting the limits of physics.

Season 1, Episode 4: “CQB”
The episode ”CQB” provides an early example of the show’s potential. The battle unfolds from the viewpoint of the Donnager, a heavily armed battleship carrying smaller corvette-class warships, including the Rocinante (originally named Tachi).
The Donnager faces a surprise attack from six stealth ships, initially mistaken for one. The attackers launch a coordinated torpedo barrage. Despite the Donnager’s point defense cannons and railguns, the stealth ships evade countermeasures, inflicting critical damage that disables the reactor and compromises the ship’s structure.
Captain James Holden and his crew escape aboard the Rocinante, narrowly avoiding the Donnager’s destruction.
Season 5, Episode 10: “Nemesis Games”

In “Nemesis Games,” the Rocinante, damaged and low on ammunition, confronts a Free Navy squadron of five ships. However, former ally Kamina Drummer, pressed into service aboard the salvaged Free Navy ship Tynan, instigates a mutiny.
Drummer fires a missile salvo at the Destroyer Koto, creating an opening for the Rocinante to use its railgun. The koto is disabled. Drummer then orders her loyalist ships to stand down, but the heavy frigate Serrio Mal continues the fight.
An armed salvage vessel, the Dewalt, joins the Rocinante, launching a massive missile salvo at the Serrio Mal.this allows the Rocinante to close in and destroy the enemy ship’s reactor with railgun fire.
season 2, Episode 2: “Doors and Corners”

The Rocinante approaches Thoth Station, a clandestine Protogen facility, concealing itself behind the OPA freighter Guy Molinari. As they near the station, the Rocinante detaches, drifting silently to maintain surprise.
Thoth Station’s defense, the Osiris (an Amun-Ra-class stealth frigate) and an anti-asteroid cannon, launch torpedoes at the Guy Molinari. The Rocinante intercepts, using its PDCs to neutralize the threat. A dogfight ensues, damaging a Rocinante thruster.
While Amos Burton repairs the thruster, OPA marines and Detective Miller launch breaching pods toward Thoth Station. The Rocinante destroys the station’s cannon, clearing a path for the remaining pod to dock.
