Frostival: A Festive Celebration in Downtown Vernon
Join the Downtown Vernon Association for Frostival on November 29. This free event marks the start of the holiday season with a street festival full of fun for everyone.
The event will feature:
- Live music and performances
- Food trucks offering various cuisines
- Holiday characters and festive decorations
- Photo opportunities for family Christmas cards
- Oversized decor and seasonal activities
The festivities will light up 30th Avenue between 30th and 34th streets. Some streets will be closed, but parking will be free in the downtown area.
Peter Kaz from the DVA encourages families and pets to attend. Expect a special appearance from Santa around 6 p.m.
Frostival is just the beginning. On November 30, the DVA will start its “Christmas Saturdays” campaign. Families can enjoy free photos with Santa on December 7, 14, and 21.
Additionally, a free Hot Chocolate Challenge will take place on December 7. Many local businesses will also participate in “Shop Late ‘Til 8” Thursdays throughout December. Lastly, enjoy free parking on December 24 for last-minute shopping.
