Experience the Magic of Circus Vazquez: Holiday Show at Citi Field 2024
Circus Vazquez, the largest family-owned circus in America, continues its 55-year tradition. This holiday season, it will perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and at Citi Field in Queens, New York. The new 2024 show will be held in a climate-controlled blue-and-white tent—the largest touring tent in the US. This show offers a blend of traditional and modern circus acts at a family-friendly price.
The performance starts with Russian clown Boris Nikishkin, who engages the audience and sets a fun atmosphere. Throughout the show, he entertains with beatboxing, guitar playing, and comical skits. The Vazquez Ringmaster and the Circus Vazquez Band provide lively music, enhancing each act with vibrant video projections and colorful lights.
This year’s cast includes the Bingo Troupe from Kiev, Ukraine. They perform high-energy dance and aerial acts, showcasing their skills on silks and ropes. Fourth-generation Vazquez family members also perform juggling and balancing acts, including tricky moves with a rolla bolla.
Notable acts include Colombia’s Duo Vanegas, who tackle the Wheel of Wonder, reaching over 30 feet and performing daring jumps. The Bone Breakers from Guinea demonstrate astounding contortion skills, bending into unbelievable shapes, accompanied by humorous sound effects.
The show features the Liazeed Angels, led by former tightrope walker Zaida Liazeed, showcasing gymnastics on high bars. During intermissions, audience members can take photos with performers dressed as oversized bears, and after the show, they can meet some stars of the circus. Snacks and souvenirs will also be available.
The performance lasts approximately 95 minutes, including intermission.
Circus Vazquez runs through Sunday, December 15, 2024. Shows are on weekdays at 7 PM and on weekends at 1 PM, 4 PM, and 7 PM at Citi Field, 123-01 Roosevelt Avenue, Flushing, NYC.
