Sweden’s Climate Leap investment program will open its first application period of 2026 February 2-13, offering funding for projects that switch to fossil-free fuels. Organizations can apply for support to convert to electric power, install biomass boilers, heat pumps, or other energy conversion methods.
“Take the opportunity to submit your institution’s application for support to convert to electric operation, switch to a biomass boiler, heat pump or for some other form of energy conversion,” said Martin Gometz.
The Climate Leap provides investment support for measures that reduce carbon dioxide and other climate-altering gas emissions. Popular investments include electrifying transportation, phasing out fossil fuels for heating in businesses and industry, and investments in agriculture. the program runs through 2030, with significant funding allocated for 2026.
“The Climate Leap is one of the broadest supports available for various types of businesses to reduce their emissions,” said Ylva Jalming, energy and climate officer at the Halland County Administrative Board. “We hope that the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency‘s division of this year’s application rounds will make it feel smooth for companies and result in faster processing with us and the agency.”
Application Periods in 2026
The Climate Leap will have six application rounds in 2026. Four will target specific types of investment projects, and two will be open application rounds.
