Extreme Cashmere Opens New Pop-Up Store in NYC
Amsterdam-based Extreme Cashmere has launched its first pop-up store in New York City, located at 694 Madison Avenue. Founded by Saskia Dijkstra in 2016, the store opened just in time for the holiday shopping season.
Dijkstra expressed excitement about the store’s two-month presence in the Upper East Side. She noted that the neighborhood attracts a diverse crowd, enhancing the shopping experience. Customers had already begun visiting prior to the grand opening, showing warm local welcome.

The pop-up features a strong focus on sustainability, including a cashmere care station for customers to refresh their existing pieces. Its cozy design showcases cream fabric-tented walls, wooden Eames chairs, and vibrant red floors. This mix reflects Extreme Cashmere’s playful approach to fashion.
The shop will remain open until late December, offering a variety of genderless cashmere styles. New arrivals include sequin pullovers, hand-knitted cardigans, striped knits, and a popular full-zip sweater. Extreme Cashmere’s core styles are also available alongside New York exclusives.
To celebrate the opening, Extreme Cashmere hosted a cocktail evening featuring special dishes by chef Pierre Barral.
Dijkstra mentioned future plans may include a permanent store in New York, reflecting the brand’s love for the city.
