Extreme Climate Alert: Heavy Rain and Flash Floods Anticipated in Oman

Muscat: Heavy rain and flash floods probably in Oman from tomorrow. The Civil Aviation Authority has warned that rain along with robust winds and thunder will proceed till August 21. The climate will stay cloudy in most northern governments, the warning stated.

The governorates of Muscat, South Sharqiya, Al Wusta and Dhofar will obtain rain. A powerful wind will blow. The wave will rise in coastal areas. The warning says that if the rain is heavy, the valleys will flood and there shall be waterlogging. Earlier, a small earthquake was recorded alongside the Oman-UAE coast. The magnitude of the earthquake was 3.0 on the Richter scale.
