Jirayu Houngsub, a thai government spokesman, announced at a news conference that the bid to host a race from 2028 to 2032 is valued at 40 billion Thai baht, or about $907 million.The proposed 3.54-mile circuit would wind through the Chatuchak Park area,located northeast of Bangkok’s city center.
The thai government anticipates that hosting a Formula 1 race will significantly bolster tourism, a crucial component of the nation’s economy. The Thailand Grand Prix role is seen as a key economic driver.
“In the next two-three years, Thailand will have world-class competition, which we never thought would happen in Thailand,” Jirayu said.
