F1 in the US: Miami Grand Prix & Ultimate Fan Quiz | 2026 Season

As the Formula 1 season prepares to resume with the Miami Grand Prix from April 29th to May 3rd, fans are testing their knowledge of the sport’s history in the United States. The event, hosted at the Miami International Autodrome, marks a continued effort to grow F1’s presence in the American market.

The Miami Grand Prix Fan Fest, taking place on Miami Beach from Wednesday, April 29th, through Sunday, May 3rd, will offer a complimentary experience including live entertainment, immersive experiences and opportunities to engage with racing culture. The festival will be located at Lummus Park (1130 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139) and will feature racing simulators, Formula 1 show cars, and team and sponsor activations.

2026 Season So Far

The 2026 season has already seen two races, with Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes emerging as a dominant force. Antonelli secured victory at the Heineken Chinese Grand Prix on March 15th, finishing with a time of 1:33:15.607. Russell finished second, +5.515 seconds behind, and Hamilton came in third, +25.267 seconds behind Antonelli.

Prior to that, at the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Australian Grand Prix, held from March 6th to 8th, Russell took first place with a time of 1:23:06.801. Antonelli followed in second, 2.974 seconds behind, and Leclerc rounded out the podium, +15.519 seconds behind Russell.

The most recent race, the Aramco Japanese Grand Prix from March 27th to 29th, again saw Antonelli claim victory, finishing with a time of 1:28:03.403. Piastri secured second place, +13.722 seconds behind, while Leclerc finished third, +15.27 seconds behind Antonelli.

US F1 History

The question of which locations have hosted a US Formula 1 race is a key point of interest for fans. The United States has a long and varied history with Formula 1, hosting races at numerous circuits over the decades. The season will then move to Barcelona-Catalunya for the MSC Cruises Gran Premio de Barcelona-Catalunya from June 12th to 14th.

The Formula 1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing took place in Bahrain from February 11th to 13th and February 18th to 20th, providing teams with valuable preparation time before the start of the competitive season.
