Las Vegas Grand Prix and F1 Secure Racing Through 2027
Formula 1 and the Las Vegas Grand Prix have reached an agreement to continue racing in the city through 2027, wiht both sides expressing interest in a longer-term commitment.The Las Vegas race, which debuted in 2023, features a circuit incorporating the iconic Las Vegas Strip.
Clark County officials have indicated plans for the race to continue through 2032. The Las vegas Grand Prix also appeared on the 2026 Formula 1 calendar.

Emily Prazer, president of the Las Vegas GP, confirmed the two-year extension for 2026 and 2027. She added that the goal is a much longer arrangement, despite initial challenges. The focus remains on ensuring the race benefits both Formula 1 and the city.
The 2025 Las Vegas event is scheduled for Nov.22, maintaining its position the weekend before Thanksgiving. City officials credit the race with transforming what was once a slow commercial period into one of the most lucrative.
November,traditionally a weaker month for Las Vegas,saw record-breaking commercial success last year. The 2024 race alone generated $934 million in revenue and $45 million in taxes.
Formula 1 has invested in a permanent facility, grand Prix Plaza, in the heart of Las Vegas to serve as the paddock during race events.
Steve Hill,CEO and president of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority,said incremental extensions make sense,given the clear plans for the coming years. He emphasized the intention for the race to become a permanent fixture, with future extensions likely to expand.
“We’ve agreed collectively that we’re going to do a two-year extension for 2026 and ’27,” Emily Prazer,president of the Las Vegas GP,said Saturday.

Looking ahead, both Formula 1 and Las Vegas officials will continue discussions to solidify a long-term agreement, ensuring the Grand Prix remains a key event on the city’s calendar and a notable economic driver.
