While national pizza chains like Pizza Hut, Domino’s, and Little Caesars have maintained a strong presence for decades, not all pizza restaurants have enjoyed the same longevity. Several once-popular chains eventually closed their doors, leaving fans with fond memories of a bygone era of pizza.
Among these is Pizza Haven, a Pacific Northwest chain established in 1958. Pizza Haven was an early adopter of pizza delivery. Despite its initial popularity,the chain faced increasing competition and filed for bankruptcy in the late 1990s. A former customer recalled the chain’s lasagna on Facebook, saying, ”I’ve never had Lasagna as good as Pizza Haven.I would love to come across the recipe they used.”

ShowBiz Pizza Place, another defunct chain, was known for its animatronic entertainment. Facing financial difficulties, ShowBiz Pizza Place eventually merged with Chuck E. Cheese.
