Fan Injured in Fall at ⁢Pirates-Cubs Game

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A fan at Wednesday’s Pittsburgh Pirates-Chicago Cubs game at PNC⁢ Park fell approximately 21 feet,prompting a delay and an outpouring of concern from players and staff.

The incident occurred in the right field,‍ near the​ Clemente Wall. The fan⁣ reportedly went over the railing and landed on the ground⁢ below.

The Pirates organization released a statement on social media acknowledging the incident but did not​ disclose details about the fan’s condition.

“Tonight, during the seventh round ‌at PNC Park, an adult man fell in the stands and fell ⁣on the ground. Emergency services, as well as the staff of Pirates, Cubs and PNC Park reacted promptly to administer first aid. He ⁤was transported to Allegheny General Hospital. our prayers and⁣ our thoughts are with⁢ him​ and his family.”
