Fans of Norwegian pop duo Marcus & Martinus are already gathering outside Unity Arena in Fornebu, Oslo, as anticipation builds for what is being billed as the most elaborate concert of their careers. A full day before the doors open on Friday, May 8, 2026, the most devoted fans have pitched tents and settled in, eager to be the first in line for the “one night only” experience titled The Room.
The concert marks a significant milestone for the twin brothers from Trofors, who have been building their fanbase since their breakthrough in 2015. For many attendees, Here’s more than just a concert—it’s a pilgrimage. Swedish teenagers Ida Rainius (15) and Ella Sandberg (14), for example, have been fans since the duo’s early days and have traveled with their parents to ensure they don’t miss a moment. “We’ve got permission from our parents,” they say, adding that their parents are staying at a nearby hotel to keep an eye on them. The girls have brought sleeping bags, snacks, and warm clothing, having already spent one night camping outside the arena. “It was very cold,” they admit, “but it’s worth it.”
Camping outside Unity Arena is not just a Norwegian phenomenon. Fans have traveled from across Europe, including Sweden, Switzerland, Greece, and the Czech Republic, many of whom have met through fan pages on social media. Stáňa and Elli, two Czech fans in their early twenties, opted not to bring a tent, instead using large blankets adorned with images of Marcus & Martinus. “The guys will keep us warm,” they say confidently, as the evening temperature begins to drop.
Marcus & Martinus have spent the last year expanding the The Room concept, which they first introduced in their gaming universe. In September 2025, they launched their own Fortnite island, where fans could engage in a Battle Royale experience alongside the twins’ avatars. The concert at Unity Arena is set to be a live extension of this immersive world, promising a narrative-driven show that builds “brick by brick,” as the duo described in a previous interview with VG.
In an email interview with VG last November, Marcus & Martinus explained that The Room is designed to be an inclusive space where fans can feel accepted for who they are. “The Room experience is about taking everyone into a space where they can be themselves and be proud of it,” they said. “Today, people are so easily judged for what they like in music or other personal preferences. Here, you’ll know you’re welcome just as you are.”
The concert is not just a celebration of their music but also a chance for the duo to further develop their brand and connect with fans on a deeper level. With tickets sold out and fans already camping outside the venue, the atmosphere at Unity Arena on Friday evening is expected to be electric, as the twins prepare to deliver what promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
For Marcus & Martinus, The Room concert at Unity Arena represents more than just a show—it’s the beginning of a new era for their career and a testament to the loyalty and dedication of their fanbase.
