Bandung, Indonesia – The city of Bandung is preparing for Eid al-Fitr prayers on Monday, March 31, 2025, with services planned across the city. Mayor Muhammad Farhan, along with Deputy Mayor erwin and Acting Regional Secretary Iskandar Zulkarnain, will attend prayers at the Al-Ukhuwah Great Mosque.
Al-ukhuwah Mosque to Host City Leaders
The Eid al-Fitr prayer at Al-Ukhuwah Great Mosque is scheduled to begin at 6:30 a.m. and will be led by Dr. KH. Abdul Mujib, the mosque’s High Priest. The Bandung City Government has extended an invitation to the public to join the mayor and deputy mayor for the prayer service.
Citywide Preparations Underway
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, 1 Shawwal 1446 H corresponds to March 31, 2025. In anticipation, Bandung has designated 1,843 mosques and 591 fields as locations for Eid al-Fitr prayers.
The city government aims to ensure a comfortable and orderly worship experiance for all Muslims. Prayer locations are spread throughout Bandung’s 30 sub-districts.
bandung Kulon has the highest number of prayer locations with 102 mosques and 12 fields, followed by Bojongloa Kaler with 99 mosques and 14 fields. Coblong sub-district features the most fields designated for prayer, with 46.

To maintain cleanliness and comfort, the Bandung City Government has deployed 8,781 sanitation workers to various prayer locations.
