A 23-year-old man was arrested this Friday (1st) on suspicion of stabbing his own mother to death. The arrest took place when military police officers approached the suspect while drinking in a bar. The crime happened in the neighborhood of Serra, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
According to g1 MG, the suspect was identified as João Victor Silveira Vilaça and the victim as Debora Silveira Vilaça, 58 years old. According to the Military Police report, the man had gone to his mother’s house on Thursday (31) to ask to borrow the car and, after she refused, stabbed her. After the murder, João fled in a silver Peugeot 207 and took two televisions and a bank card. The record shows he exchanged one of the televisions for drugs and threw away the cards.
The victim was found by her sister, who had been trying to contact Debora since last Wednesday (30). Without receiving an answer, the relative went to the house and found the door locked. He used a key fob and, entering the residence, found Debora’s body sitting on the TV room floor.
The Civil Police have already carried out investigations and opened an investigation to investigate the case.
