Deadly Consequences of Toxic Love: Ex-Boyfriend’s Jealous Rage Turns Fatal
On November 3, 2024, at 4:50 am, Police Lieutenant Winit Inkong, investigating officer at Thung Song Police Station, received a report of a murder inside a rented house in Chamai Subdistrict, District of Thung Song, Nakhon Si Thammarat province.
Upon arrival, Colonel Teerawut Thepluen, Superintendent of Thung Song Police Station, and the Siam Rescue Unit joined forces to investigate the scene. The front door of the house was closed, but the owner of the rental house had a key and was waiting for the officer.
Inside the bedroom, the body of 33-year-old Mrs. Chariya (surname withheld) was found, wearing green pajamas and shot in the head with a .357 caliber pistol. Another victim, 24-year-old Mr. Trakan (surname omitted), was found with severe head injuries and labored breathing. Despite efforts to save him, he later succumbed to his injuries at Thung Song Hospital.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the owner of the rental house heard two shots and went to investigate, finding a white pickup truck used for package delivery fleeing the scene. The owner reported not hearing a response from the tenants and immediately informed the authorities, suspecting something was amiss.
Further investigation led to the identification of the perpetrator as 33-year-old Mr. Phasakorn (surname omitted), the former lover of Mrs. Chariya. The two had separated long ago, but Mr. Phasakorn’s jealousy and anger were reignited when he discovered Mrs. Chariya with her new partner, Mr. Trakan.
Mr. Phasakorn climbed over the gate and entered the house, where he found Mrs. Chariya and Mr. Trakan together. In a fit of rage, he used a gun to provoke a crime, then fled the scene. The investigating officer is currently following up on leads and has requested an arrest warrant.
According to the investigation, Mrs. Chariya was the tenant of the house and had previously lived with Mr. Phasakorn. The two had separated, and Mrs. Chariya had found new love with Mr. Trakan. However, it appears that Mr. Phasakorn’s jealousy and anger lingered, ultimately leading to the tragic events that unfolded.
