Man Found Dead After Police Respond to Earlier Dispute
Stjørdal, Norway – A man in his 30s has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead in her home just hours after police responded to a reported altercation between teh two.police were initially called to a public disturbance in Stjørdal on Tuesday. While officers spoke with both individuals involved adn investigated the scene, they did not open a case.One person was, however, asked to leave the area.
Tragically, just hours later, police were called back to the same location, a townhouse, where they discovered the woman unresponsive. She was pronounced dead the following day.
“I can confirm that the same two individuals were involved in both incidents,” said Kristine Shanika Østergård,the lead prosecutor on the case. ”The specific considerations made at the time of the initial call are part of the ongoing examination.”
Both the man and the woman were known to police. Court documents reveal that the man had a restraining order against him, prohibiting contact with the woman until February of this year.
On Thursday, the man was ordered held without bail for four weeks. he will undergo a full psychiatric evaluation and receive ongoing mental health treatment.

Tragically, police were called back to the same townhouse only hours later, where they discovered the woman unresponsive. Despite efforts to revive her, she was sadly pronounced dead the following day.

Court documents reveal that the man had a history with the victim and a restraining order prohibiting contact with her was in place until February of this year. Both individuals were known to authorities.
