Born and raised in the heart of Harlem, Fatman Scoop, whose real name was Isaac Freeman III, was celebrated for his raw, powerful vocal delivery and high-energy performances.He first burst onto the music scene in 1999 with his infectious single ”Be Faithful,” featuring the Crooklyn Clan. This track quickly became an instant club anthem, achieving number one status in the UK and Ireland in 2003 and charting success in Denmark and Australia.
Throughout his illustrious career, Fatman Scoop lent his distinctive voice to collaborations with some of the music industry’s biggest names. His work on Missy Elliott’s “Lose Control” earned a Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video, and he also contributed to Mariah Carey’s hit “It’s Like That.”
