FBI Death Proof: Video to Address Theories
FBI to Release Epstein Jail Video, Debunking Conspiracy Theories
Updated June 01, 2025
Federal authorities plan to release video footage from outside Jeffrey Epstein’s jail cell in an effort to quell persistent conspiracy theories surrounding his death. Epstein, who faced sex trafficking charges, died by suicide in his New York City jail cell in August 2019. The upcoming release seeks to address speculation about the circumstances of his death.
FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Daniel Bongino have addressed the conspiracy theories. Patel stated in May that the evidence clearly points to suicide. Bongino added that he has reviewed the entire file and confirmed Epstein acted alone.
Despite these assurances, some online remain skeptical, demanding further evidence. Bongino,in a recent interview, said the FBI is “working on cleaning” the footage before it’s release. He emphasized the video will be unedited to ensure transparency. The video will show that Epstein was alone and that no one else entered or exited the cell.
“Ther is video… You are going to see there is no one there but him…there is video clear as day, he’s the only person in there and the only person coming out.”
Bongino clarified the video will not depict the actual suicide. he acknowledged the public’s desire for transparency but noted the FBI cannot declassify all information.
