Natalie Harp, a 35-year-old executive assistant to President Donald Trump and former television presenter for One America News Network, has emerged as a central figure in political and media discourse following recent remarks by Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff, according to reporting from USA Today. Harp, who earned the nickname the human printer for carrying a portable printer and battery pack to provide Trump with information in printouts, is facing intense scrutiny over her proximity and relationship with the 80-year-old president.
Jon Ossoff Comments Spark Fresh Scrutiny Over White House Role
The scrutiny surrounding Harp intensified after comments from Sen. Jon Ossoff during a campaign rally on Sunday, according to USA Today. Ossoff criticized Trump’s focus, stating at the rally, “He doesn’t want to do the job,” and adding that Trump wants “to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar.” In response to Ossoff’s remarks, Trump compared the senator to Pee-wee Herman during an interview with CNN, stating that he would “much rather do other things.” White House officials quickly condemned both Ossoff and media members reporting on Harp, with communications director Steven Cheung writing on X, “Instead of denigrating hard working people serving their country, Jon should look deep into his soul and ask himself why he’s a miserable person who hates this country,” as reported by USA Today.
Background and Rise Within the Trump Administration
Before joining the White House, Harp worked as a television presenter for the One American News Network. According to Vanity Fair profiles cited by USA Today, Harp is a 2012 graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University and holds a 2015 MBA from Liberty University. Her loyalty to Trump drew widespread attention after she recovered from bone cancer, a recovery she credits to Trump’s Right to Try law. She subsequently spoke at numerous rallies during Trump’s 2024 reelection campaign before taking on official staff roles, including working as an assistant at the Save America Super PAC and as a research advisor and assistant to the Donald J. Trump for President 2024 Super PAC.
Controversies Surrounding Social Media Access and Personal Notes
Harp’s influence extends to digital communications, with reports indicating she is allegedly behind several of Trump’s most controversial social media posts on Truth Social, including a photo depicting Trump as Jesus and an artificial intelligence-generated video featuring the Obamas as racist, ape-like figures, according to USA Today. Her close working relationship has also drawn internal attention; Michael Wolff’s 2025 book “All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America” documented that Harp routinely included personal notes to Trump among her briefing papers, with phrases such as “You’re the alpha and the omega” and “What would I be without you?” Vanity Fair reported in 2025 that administration sources expressed bewilderment and concern over these notes, though attempts by staffers to create distance between the president and Harp ultimately did not last.
