FC Bayern Seeks New Partner
Kompany’s Assistant Seeks ‘Nathalie’ in Humorous Social Media Post
MUNICH (AP) — Rodyse Munienge, assistant to Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany, has sparked amusement with a lighthearted request on Instagram. Munienge, a longtime friend of Kompany, took to social media to jokingly seek a woman named Nathalie.
Tattoo troubles?
In a recent Instagram story, the 40-year-old Munienge, tongue-in-cheek, wrote, “Newly single man, 40 years old, looking for a woman named Nathalie. So I don’t have to redo my tattoo.”
The post quickly circulated among Bayern Munich fans, manny recognizing Munienge’s penchant for humor. This isn’t the first time he’s used social media for comedic effect.
some time ago, he shared a story stating, “Can you please stop asking Santa for the perfect man? I’ve almost been kidnapped three times.”
More Than Just a Friend
Munienge’s relationship with Kompany dates back to their time together at Hamburg SV (2006-2008). He has as served as Kompany’s personal assistant at Burnley and Anderlecht. In Munich, Munienge’s responsibilities include team management logistics. He also occasionally serves as Kompany’s chauffeur, allowing the coach to analyze game footage on his iPad from the passenger seat.
Drone Technology on the Pitch
Munienge also operates a drone during training sessions. The aerial footage provides a unique outlook for analyzing player positioning and movement, a tactic previously unseen at FC Bayern.
Kompany’s father, Pierre, once described their relationship: “He does everything possible for vincent, for years: Rodyse is his bodyguard, his driver, his jack-of-all-trades.”
Champions League Focus
Despite the humorous interlude, Bayern Munich remains focused on its Champions League campaign. The team faces Inter Milan in the quarterfinal second leg today.
