FC Goa Appoints Pepe Villar Berenguè as Technical Director
FC Goa has announced the appointment of Pepe Villar Berenguè as the club’s new Technical Director and Head of Methodology. Berenguè will spearhead the development and execution of FC Goa’s game model and coaching methods, focusing on football development within the club.
Berenguè’s football journey began at 17, coaching while playing in Barcelona. By 23, he was coaching at an FC Barcelona-affiliated school alongside Manolo Márquez, FC Goa’s current Head coach. In 2000, he founded the Hristo Stoichkov Football Schools, which he led until 2017. More recently, he launched the Life Futbol System, training coaches globally, which brought him to Goa.
In his new role, Berenguè will concentrate on creating a comprehensive framework to develop both players and coaches, ensuring the club’s continued progress.This strategic move aims to strengthen FC Goa’s technical foundation and promote the growth of football in the region, emphasizing player development and coaching excellence.
