FC Goa has secured the return of experienced goalkeeper Laxmikant Kattimani on a one-year contract ahead of the Indian⁢ Super League (ISL) season.⁤ The club aims to leverage Kattimani’s extensive⁣ experience while fostering the growth of younger talents like ​Arshdeep Singh and Lara Sharma.

Kattimani,⁢ a Goa native, began his professional career with Vasco SC before joining Dempo SC, where he clinched two I-League ‌titles.He initially played for FC Goa in the inaugural ISL season, contributing to their league-topping performance and ISL Cup final appearance in 2015.

After stints with Mumbai FC and a return to Dempo SC, Kattimani spent five years with Hyderabad FC. A highlight of his time with the Nizams was their‌ ISL Cup victory in the 2021-22 season, where he made crucial saves in the final against FC goa.
