The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) introduced a new requirement for an inside information declaration on its prospectus and circular submission webpage on August 7, 2026, according to the regulator’s official site. This update adds a specific compliance layer to the process companies must follow when submitting documents for primary market listings.
The August 7 update is the latest in a series of technical and regulatory adjustments to the submission process. The FCA uses this page to manage how issuers and their advisors file the necessary paperwork to bring securities to market or announce significant corporate changes via circulars.
FCA Submission Timeline and Regulatory Changes
According to the FCA’s version history, the regulator implemented POATRs (Persons Operating Administrative Trusts or similar regulatory frameworks) on January 19, 2026.
On July 29, 2024, the FCA updated the page to reflect the entry into force of the UK Listing Rules (UKLR), which streamlined the requirements for companies seeking to list on the London Stock Exchange.
Operational Updates and Seasonal Adjustments
Beyond regulatory shifts, the FCA frequently updates the portal to manage administrative expectations during holiday periods. The regulator added information regarding turnaround times over the Christmas period on November 6, 2025, and previously provided specific listing transaction details for Christmas 2024 on September 17, 2024.

These operational notices are typically removed after the relevant period expires. The FCA removed the Christmas 2025 transaction details on January 9, 2026, and similarly cleared the Christmas 2024 data on January 15, 2025.
Technical maintenance also occurs regularly without altering the underlying requirements. The FCA noted a system update on December 17, 2025, and a technical update on November 3, 2025, neither of which resulted in content changes for issuers.
Impact on Primary Market Issuers
Issuers must now explicitly declare the status of inside information as part of their filing.
