A‍ three-alarm fire wholly destroyed⁤ a beach cabana located on Beach‍ 193rd street in the Breezy Point section of Queens early Wednesday morning. The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) responded to the scene at approximately⁢ 4:30 a.m. EST.

Firefighters initially faced concerns ⁣about‍ the structural integrity of the building, prompting a temporary withdrawal of units as a precaution against⁢ collapse. The blaze was brought⁢ under control after approximately three hours ⁢of firefighting efforts.

FDNY response and Inquiry

The FDNY reported no injuries related to the incident. According to the FDNY’s official Twitter account (posted December 24, 2025), the initial responding unit⁢ immediately requested a‍ second alarm due to the intensity of the fire. At its peak, the operation involved five hand lines.

Around 4:30 Wednesday morning, the FDNY responded to a 3-alarm fire at 1 Beach 193rd Street⁤ in Queens. There were no⁣ reported injuries.
