Felix and Penma: An Unholy Alliance – When Rivals Collide in the Spotlight
Chelsea‘s Felix Conundrum: Balancing Team Dynamics
Chelsea’s team leader, Mariska, has expressed his concerns about Joao Felix‘s limited playing time since joining the team for the second time. Despite being signed permanently for £44.5 million, Felix has only been selected as a regular in the UEFA Europa League and the EFL Cup, with just 5 reserve appearances in the Premier League.
Maliska attributed Felix’s limited playing time to the need for balance in the team’s offense and defense. “I feel ashamed for Zuofilis. I want to give him more Premier League game time, but we need balance and cannot let Felice, Golpenma, and An Guangu play together,” he explained.
Chelsea’s reliance on Penma in important games means that Felix and An Guanggu often have to be sacrificed. ”I want all of them to play, but you have to defend, so there are trade-offs. When I line up for every game, I feel bad because I have to leave a bunch of guys out of the lineup, but that’s the only way to stay competitive,” Maliska said.
However, Felix’s performance in the UEFA game against Panadinaikos, where he scored twice and created a goal for An Guangu, has given him hope for more playing time in the Premier League. Maliska emphasized that as long as Felix continues to perform well, he will always get his chance in the Premier League.
