Hibernian FC has confirmed the signing of German right-back Felix Passlack from VfL Bochum on a permanent deal. The 27-year-old joined the Scottish Premiership club on Deadline Day, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at Easter Road until June 2029.
The transfer was officially announced by Hibernian on their website, with the club confirming that Passlack can play anywhere on the right flank and becomes their fourth signing of the January transfer window. The fee was undisclosed, though multiple sources reported it to be a low six-figure sum.
Passlack previously played for VfL Bochum in the German second division, where he made 31 league appearances in the 2024/25 season, contributing one goal and six assists. Before his move to Bochum in the summer of 2023, he had a career in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund and TSG Hoffenheim, making 82 appearances and scoring five goals across his time in Germany’s top flight.
His time at VfL Bochum was affected by the club’s relegation from the Bundesliga, after which his playing time decreased significantly. In the current season prior to his transfer, he featured in 16 league matches, often coming off the bench. The move to Hibernian is intended to provide him with a fresh start and increased playing time in Scottish football.
