Ferrari is dramatically expanding its lineup, signaling a significant shift for the iconic Italian marque. The company announced on February 10, 2026, during an earnings call, that it plans to launch five new models throughout the calendar year. This expansion comes after a period of growth that has seen Ferrari diversify beyond its traditional offerings, incorporating SUVs and limited-edition hypercars.

Central to this expansion is the Luce, Ferrari’s first fully electric vehicle. The name, meaning “light” or “illumination” in Italian, represents a forward-looking philosophy for the brand. The exterior of the Luce will be revealed in Italy in May 2026, with the unveiling scheduled for May 25th. Ferrari has already offered a glimpse of the interior, designed in collaboration with LoveFrom, a creative collective co-founded by former Apple designer Jony Ive.

The interior design, revealed on February 9, 2026, prioritizes a focused and intuitive driver experience. Departing from recent Ferrari designs that often divide the cabin, the Luce’s interior is conceived as a unified space. A key element of this approach is a deliberate emphasis on tactile mechanical controls – buttons, dials, and switches – rather than relying heavily on large digital touchscreens. This design philosophy reflects a commitment to a more engaging and physical connection between driver and machine. The steering wheel, crafted from 100% recycled aluminum, consists of 19 CNC-machined parts and is 400 grams lighter than a standard Ferrari wheel.

Ferrari has stated the Luce will be a four-door vehicle with an output exceeding 1000 horsepower. Pricing is estimated to fall between $500,000 and $600,000, though official figures have not yet been released. The vehicle’s key will also feature an innovative E Ink display, a first for the automotive industry.

Beyond the Luce, the remaining four new models for 2026 are less defined. Over the past two years, Ferrari has introduced updated or entirely new versions of several key models, including the F80 flagship hypercar, the 12Cilindri front-engined V-12 supercar, the Amalfi V-8 front-engine grand tourer, the 849 Testarossa V-8 hybrid supercar, and a Speciale version of the 296 V-6 hybrid supercar. This suggests potential updates to the Purosangue SUV, the only existing model not recently refreshed.

However, Ferrari also has room to introduce entirely new vehicles. Possibilities include track-focused specials and their road-going counterparts, such as the SF90 XX Stradale, or limited-run versions of existing models like the Monza SP1. The company has almost eleven months to finalize and launch these models, leaving considerable room for surprise.

The collaboration with LoveFrom, led by Jony Ive and Marc Newson, has been ongoing for five years, influencing every aspect of the Luce’s design. Ferrari’s decision to partner with LoveFrom underscores its vision for the future – a vehicle that honors the brand’s heritage while simultaneously challenging conventional design norms and reimagining the user experience. Ive, formerly Apple’s Chief Design Officer, brings a wealth of experience in creating intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces.

The launch of the Luce and the subsequent rollout of these five new models represent a pivotal moment for Ferrari. The company is not only embracing electrification but also demonstrating a willingness to innovate in design and user experience, potentially setting a new standard for luxury electric vehicles. The coming months will reveal the full extent of Ferrari’s ambitious plans and its vision for the future of high-performance automobiles.
