Daniel Park, 32, a suspect connected too the Palm Springs fertility clinic bombing, died by suicide while in federal custody, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. Park was discovered unresponsive in his cell at the metropolitan Detention Center early Tuesday.
The medical examiner’s office confirmed Thursday that the manner of death was suicide, citing blunt force trauma as the cause. Details remain limited as the investigation continues, a spokesperson said.
Park’s death is under investigation by the Federal bureau of Prisons, which declined to provide further information. He had been charged with providing material support to terrorists in connection with the May 17 bombing of American Reproductive Centers. Guy Edward Bartkus, the alleged bomber, died at the scene.
