Festive Decorations Transform Larchmont Blvd for Holiday Season
Larchmont Blvd is getting a festive makeover for the holidays. Local students Tristan Bommarito and Gily Hynes, eighth graders at Marlborough School, decorated all the parking meters on Friday. They received help from their families and members of the Community Cleanup Crew.
Romi Cortier, chair of the LBA Beautification Committee, designed a new holiday banner. She also added colorful cyclamen plants to city pots and arranged for seven small Douglas Fir trees to be placed in planting beds nearby. The trees were delivered by Tim and Eric from the Wilshire Rotary Christmas Tree lot, with assistance from Burger Lounge staff who helped water them.
LBA volunteers will decorate the trees this weekend. Local businesses and community members are invited to add ornaments to make the decoration a community effort.
The new holiday banner is displayed alongside the Douglas Fir trees, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. A setting sun on Larchmont adds to the charm of this festive season, inviting everyone to enjoy the decorations and participate in the local holiday spirit.
