France’s Coupe de France will be known as the Coupe de France-Credit Agricole, following a landmark agreement with the domestic bank. The French Football federation (FFF) announced Credit Agricole as the competition’s first-ever title sponsor.
The three-year deal, commencing with the 2025-26 season and extending through 2027-28,marks a significant financial boost for the annual tournament.FFF President Philippe Diallo hailed the agreement as a “major financial step forward,” estimating its value at “well over €10 million.” The exact financial details remain undisclosed.
Diallo emphasized the importance of the Coupe de france to the federation’s financial structure. “Along with the senior national team, the Coupe de France is the Federation’s second economic pillar,” he stated. He also noted the continued appeal of French soccer, despite current challenges, calling it “very positive for the future.”
Credit Agricole’s support for the FFF dates back to 1974.Their previous five-year renewal in June 2023 covered various FFF activities, including the men’s and women’s national teams and other cup competitions.
The Coupe de France, which began in 1918, joins Ligue 1 in securing a title sponsor. The French top-tier league has had a title partner since 2022. McDonald’s took over title sponsorship rights at the start of the 2024-25 season.
Broadcast rights for the Coupe de France are currently held by BeIN Sports and France Television through 2026, in a deal valued at approximately €12 million per season. A new broadcast tender is expected later this year.
