Fiat‘s Electric Grande Panda SUV Now Available for Pre-Order
Italian automaker Fiat has announced that its highly anticipated electric SUV, teh Grande Panda, is now available for pre-order in the U.S.with a starting MSRP of $24,990.
This news comes just a week after reports surfaced about a delay in the Grande Panda’s launch due to software issues. Fiat has seemingly overcome these hurdles and is now ready to take orders for the compact electric SUV.
Measuring 30 centimeters longer than the standard Panda, the Grande Panda enters the competitive compact SUV segment. While its 83 kW (113 horsepower) electric motor isn’t particularly powerful, it offers adequate performance for city driving. The Grande Panda can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 11 seconds and reach a top speed of 82 mph.
The SUV boasts remarkable acceleration from a standstill, reaching 31 mph in just 4.2 seconds.
A 44 kWh battery pack powers the Grande Panda, offering an estimated range of up to 200 miles.
Charging options are versatile, with the ability to utilize a 7 kW onboard charger for a 20% to 80% charge in 3 hours and 43 minutes. An 11 kW charger can achieve the same charge in 2 hours and 55 minutes. For those on the go, DC fast charging with up to 100 kW capacity can replenish the battery to 80% in just 33 minutes.
