FIFA launched its digital streaming platform, FIFA+, exclusively on DAZN on June 4, 2026, creating a free-to-view “Global Home of Football.” The platform integrates approximately 8,500 annual live matches from 100 FIFA Member Associations with archive footage and original programming, managed technically and commercially by DAZN.
The agreement establishes a single global destination for FIFA-related live events and storytelling. Under the terms of the partnership, DAZN has taken over the technical, editorial, distribution, and commercialization of the service. This shift moves the content from a standalone environment into a broader sports entertainment ecosystem.
What content is available on FIFA+ via DAZN?
The integrated platform will broadcast roughly 8,500 live football events every year. These matches originate from approximately 100 FIFA Member Associations, providing a level of visibility for smaller federations that previously lacked a global distribution engine.
Beyond live match coverage, the service includes a deep library of archive content. This features select footage from past FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments. The platform is also set to host upcoming 2026 events, including the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The offering combines these FIFA assets with DAZN’s existing portfolio of rights from various top leagues and competitions worldwide. This creates an “always-on” digital environment where fans can move between current top-tier league matches and FIFA’s historical archives.
How does the transition affect existing users?
Users who previously accessed content through the closed FIFA+ app will be transitioned into the DAZN ecosystem. This move is designed to increase engagement by adding interactive social features that weren’t central to the previous app.
The new experience includes community spaces and live chats, allowing fans to interact in real time during broadcasts. By moving to DAZN, FIFA+ leverages an established infrastructure to reach hundreds of millions of sports fans without requiring users to manage a separate, isolated application.
Why did FIFA and DAZN form this partnership?
The partnership builds on a previous collaboration between the two organizations during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. FIFA and DAZN intend to use this integration to expand the cultural impact of football and make the sport more accessible on a global scale.
