FiftyFifty Fights Back: Boycotting SBS ‘Music Core’ Amid Allegations of Biased Reporting on ‘G-R

[TV리포트=이혜미 기자] Girl group FiftyFifty returned after reorganization. FiftyFifty, reborn as a 5-member group, released ‘Show! The start of a powerful journey was announced through ‘Music Core’.

FiftyFifty will be on MBC’s ‘Show!’ on the 28th. They performed their new song ‘SOS’ on ‘Music Core’.

After finishing the stage, the Fifty Fifty members said through their agency, “Today was our third music broadcast. “I also had a fan meeting for the first time in my life, and it felt like a dream and I was so happy,” he said.

He continued, “I was happy to be able to meet and communicate with my fans up close, and the fatigue from not sleeping for three days seemed to disappear thanks to your support. “I made a promise to work harder in the future,” he said, expressing his happiness.

They also said, “We were able to perform on stage with such great members, and we are sincerely grateful to everyone who worked hard to put together a great stage. I will continue to be an artist who does my best. “Please take good care of me,” he said, adding his strong ambition again.

‘SOS’ is the first new song released by Fifty Fifty after its reorganization, and is currently on track, reaching 10 million views on YouTube as a music video upon its release on the 20th.

Initially, FiftyFifty enjoyed global popularity when ‘Cupid’, released in February of last year, entered the Billboard main chart, but in June of that year, the members were transferred to exclusive use due to non-compliance with settlement obligations, disregard for health protection obligations, and lack of human and material resource support. Activities were put on hold when an injunction to terminate the contract was filed.

Unlike Kina, who was the only one to return to her agency and become a member of ‘New Fifty Fifty’, the remaining three members (Saena, Sio, Aran) recently signed an exclusive contract with MASSIVE E&C, a label under IOK Company, and are now part of Fifty Fifty. Fifty will not appear on SBS, which did not apologize even after being severely punished by the National Defense Commission for its biased broadcast of ‘I Want to Know That’.
