Filip Chajzer, the Polish presenter and entrepreneur known for his kebab restaurants, is embroiled in a public dispute with his former partner, Małgorzata Walczak, over access to their son, Aleksander. The situation has escalated to the point where Chajzer felt compelled to publicly address the difficulties he’s facing in maintaining a relationship with his child, and to proactively address concerns about his past that were raised during legal proceedings.

A Battle for Contact and a Return to the Past

Chajzer revealed that he last saw his son at the beginning of June and is now awaiting a court hearing in September. He expressed his frustration at being unable to plan simple family activities, like a summer vacation, with Aleksander. “I haven’t seen my son since June 1st,” he stated in a series of online posts. The legal battle has taken an unexpected turn, however, with Chajzer claiming that his past struggles with addiction are being used against him.

According to Chajzer, Walczak’s legal team presented newspaper clippings detailing his previous battle with substance abuse as a reason to deny him a favorable ruling regarding contact with his son. “In response from the other side came clippings from newspapers where I myself talked about fighting addiction,” Chajzer explained. “And that was supposed to be the basis for not getting this security [of contact].”

Proving Sobriety with a Novel Approach

Determined to counter this tactic, Chajzer sought a way to definitively demonstrate his continued sobriety to the court. He credits ChatGPT with suggesting a solution: a hair follicle test capable of providing a record of substance use over an extended period. “I found a forensic laboratory where they take samples and send them to the court to confirm that you are 100% clean and for how long,” he said.

The process wasn’t without its challenges. Chajzer recounted a visit to the laboratory where he unexpectedly had a circular patch of his head shaved to collect the necessary hair sample. “The lady says, ‘Well, Mr. Filip, I’ll have to cut a little bit of your hair.’ I think, ‘Two hairs, maybe three at most,’ and she pulls out the clippers. I say, ‘Why do you need the clippers?’ She says, ‘Well, because you have short hair, and the shorter We see, the more material we need.’ And she cut out a circle,” he described.

The results of the test, however, appear to have shifted the dynamics of the case in his favor.

A Public Dispute and a History of Loss

Chajzer’s public statements in July 2025 brought the conflict with Walczak into the spotlight. He lamented the separation from his son, echoing a deep sense of loss, particularly in light of the tragic death of his first son, Maksymilian, ten years prior. “Exactly 10 years ago, I lost my first child. Now I’m fighting for the second,” he wrote.

Walczak responded to Chajzer’s accusations with a firm denial, calling them “manipulation” and stating that the matter would be addressed through the appropriate legal channels. “Here’s nothing more than manipulation that has no basis in fact. The matter will be dealt with by the appropriate authorities,” she stated through her representatives.

The situation underscores the complexities of co-parenting following a separation, particularly when public figures are involved. Chajzer’s willingness to share his personal struggles, both past and present, has drawn attention to the challenges faced by parents navigating difficult custody battles. The case is ongoing, with a court hearing scheduled for September, and the outcome will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the relationship between Chajzer and his son, Aleksander.
